(Ep. 50) I Broke My 30-Day Blog Challenge — But I’m Back Stronger

I'll tell you this for free!

Consistency is not easy!

Everyone struggles with it. Everyone, including students, definitely struggles with consistency, and this November taught me that perfectly.

I started the month with a bold 30-day challenge for The Spectacular Student Blog. And honestly? I only posted for the first 12 days. šŸ™ˆ

Then life happened.

I relocated for some weeks, had exams to write, my schedule changed, and I had important family responsibilities that made it hard to keep up.

At first, I felt disappointed in myself. But I realized something important:

Consistency isn’t about never missing a day. It’s about learning to start again, even after you fall.

So, here I am — starting again. 😊

This break didn’t stop me; it strengthened me. It reminded me that I’m human and that discipline isn’t perfection. Discipline is rather, progress.

And the beautiful thing is that you’re allowed to begin again, as many times as you need. You can always start again!

Here Are 6 Lessons My Break Taught Me

1. Breaks do not cancel your goals — they prepare you for a better comeback.

2. You don’t become a failure because you paused or fell. You only become a failure when you refuse to restart or to rise again.

3. Every student needs flexible routines, not rigid pressure.

4. Small consistent steps beat big unrealistic expectations. So, set realistic goals that you know you can achieve.

5. A fresh start is just one decision away — and this is mine. This is my own decision to start a fresh.

6. Don't ever be ashamed of sharing your stories, including those stories that seemingly portray you as a weak person. Someone out there could learn from it.

My New December Plan

This December, instead of doing another heavy 31-day posting challenge, I’m choosing a balanced plan that I can actually sustain, considering my current schedule:

  • 2–3 posts every week in December

  • A “Finish Strong” series to motivate students (because you deserve to finish strong this year)

  • A year-end encouragement message

Then a full 30-day challenge in January (when the new year energy is fresh)

Take Home Message

If you ever feel behind or discouraged, remember this: you can always continue your story. Consistency is built on restarts, not perfection.

Failures are not those who fall, but those who refuse to rise up after a fall.

“Though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again.” — Proverbs 24:16 (KJV)

Let's meet at the top.
